Breyer Group is one of the first companies of its kind to achieve B-Corp certification in the UK. This sees us join the likes of The Guardian, The Body Shop, Jamie Oliver and over 4,000 other businesses worldwide who are seeking to reinvent business by pursuing profit and purpose as a “force for good”. This prestigious accreditation recognises our drive to meet rigorous social and environmental standards, as well as honour our financial commitments.
The certification involved a stringent review of our entire business, focusing on Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customer. Not least, it required providing evidence of socially and environmentally responsible practices relating to energy supplies, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity and corporate transparency. Our Carbon Reduction Plan naturally played a big part in this.
However, our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) predates the B-Corp certification and runs through the Breyer business in our mission to empower and enrich lives as we improve homes and communities. This is why we are heavily focused on resident and community investment initiatives within the communities in which we work.
